The Level 2 builds upon the Level 1 Certificate Course and is designed for any CrossFit trainer who wants to refine their coaching skills and acquire a deeper understanding of CrossFit methodology and its practical application as a trainer, including program design, lesson planning, and implementation.

CrossFit Level 1 Seminar

 

The Level 1 Certificate Course is an introduction to CrossFit's methodology and foundational movements. The course includes classroom instruction on these topics, as well as hands-on small-group training for the movements. These group sessions are conducted under low intensity with a focus on improving mechanics.

Students’ movements are observed and corrected, and they engage in dialogue concerning effective coaching techniques.

Foundations: The First Step on Your CrossFit Journey

 

Foundations is an introductory course for new members that teaches the simplest movements they need to know to begin training in group classes at Chikara.

They learn how to squat, lift from the floor and press overhead with a barbell.

Simple Gymnastics movements like push ups, pull ups, dips and box jumps are introduced, as well as running and skipping technique. Equipment commonly used in training, particularly the rower and air bike are also introduced.

Answers to your Open Questions

 

We have gotten a lot of questions about the Open.  Here are the answers. 

1.) The Open is for everyone!

2.) There are 5 workouts spanning 5 weeks

3.) Workouts are released on Friday mornings in Japan and the deadline for score submission is the following Tuesday morning

4.) Scaled and Rx versions of each workout are available

5.) Choosing to do scaled on one work out does not mean you have to do scaled on all workouts (and vice versa)
