Personal Skill Sessions for Chikara members and non-members!

Precise assessment and personalized instruction from a knowledgeable source is essential to improve skills, strength, and confidence for any movement. As Tokyo’s original CrossFit gym, Chikara’s coaches are the authority in assessing and designing effective individual programs for movements commonly used in CrossFit. We now offer 1-on-1 coaching sessions specifically for :

  • Pull-ups & Dips
  • Muscle-ups
  • Handstand
  • Olympic Weightlifting (Snatch and Clean & Jerk) 

Pull-ups & Dips : Pull-ups & dips are complimentary basic upper body exercises that are used in CrossFit training & competition.  Improved upper body strength directly transfers to other gymnastics movements like the muscle-up, as well as dynamic weightlifting movements. Pull-up and dip variations exist for both the rings and bar.

Muscle-ups : The muscle-up is an advanced strength training exercise that is used in CrossFit training and competition.  It is a combination of a pull-up followed by a dip. Variations exist for the rings as well as the bar.

Handstand : A handstand is the act of supporting the body in a stable, inverted vertical position by balancing on the hands. In a basic handstand the body is held straight with arms and legs fully extended, with hands spaced approximately shoulder-width apart and the legs together. There are many variations of handstands, all of which require the performer to possess adequate balance and upper body strength.

Olympic Weightlifting : Moving yourself around the barbell with greater speed, power and accuracy not only improves overall athletic ability but also maintains athleticism in more mature athletes. 

Pricing: 30 min Personal Coaching ¥4,000 / session or 10 tickets for ¥35,000 (valid for 3 months)

Scheduling : All private lessons are scheduled directly with the coach. Coaches generally schedule private lessons around their hours at the gym. We suggest you book multiple lessons in advance to secure your spot. Private Lesson opportunities are based on instructor availability.
